This is a day trip I made in early November 2017, with my Cape Shore Water Dog, Saku. We go through the woods of Newfoundland, Canada and weather a fine dose of wind and rain. I underline how it can be comfortable and enjoyable in the woods during these conditions, with very little.

Other than a raised ground coating of logs lined with my mat or boughs, this shelter has everything needed to withstand a strong storm. If you are not in a depression and on solid ground, you can get by without the raised platform, like I did above.
